July 1983 April 1984: Pre-venture Division is set up with the goal of venture support, development
Reorganized as Venture Brains Partner (VBP)
With the goal of student venture support and development, the “Pre-venture Division” was created. “Venture Brains Partner” is inaugurated in order to broaden its reach to a still wider range of students, to collect ideas, and to achieve business funding, management know-how, human resources support, and other cooperative back-up services for superior ideas. The company joins forces with 27 major firms, among them Marubeni, Suntory, and Nissan, to complete this support structure.
December 1985: JIC is founded as a business that helps discover, develop, and support venture companies
JIC (Japan Incubation Capital) is established by promoters from 7 different types of venture companies, with Pasona at the center, along with the support of 6 major brokerage firms.
Extending a hand to seed firms whose risks with pre-existing venture capital were large and who had no period for start-up investment, as well as to people attempting to establish a business through promising ideas and technology, the company not only offered funds, but also planned the development of subjects for investment through its know-how and guidance.
