Introducing a One-Stop Management System for employees working overseas
The proprietary system AGAVE consolidates reimbursement forms, internal applications, and information on accompanying family

TOKYO, September 8, 2016- Pasona Group Inc. unveiled the “Expat Management Support” BPO service today.  Utilizing the proprietary data management system AGAVE, companies can oversee expatriates’ expenditure reimbursement forms, company-wide application documents, and information regarding their accompanying family members, all in one place.

As Japanese companies continue to expand their overseas business reach, the number of Japanese employees working abroad has steadily increased.  According to statistics provided by the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs as of October 2015, the number of Japanese working abroad had increased by over 3,000 from the previous year, totaling of over 460,000 expatriates.  And with the increased need for coordination of staff reassignments and salary management, many companies have indicated problems with integrating their internal systems, monitoring their overseas locations, and an over-reliance on email for circulating crucial documents.  Many have voiced a need for a method of unifying and visualizing such vital processes.

As such, Pasona has developed the overseas employee management system AGAVE to streamline procedures such as budget requests, internal applications, and wage statements.  In conjunction with the AGAVE system, Pasona is also offering an “Expat Management Support,” a BPO service which provides specialized staff for help with system and document management.

In more concrete terms, the system can manage reimbursement forms regarding medical, child’s education, and other expenses incurred overseas, and uniformly manage online wage statements, requests for aid and compensation, and applications for temporary visits to one’s home country within an internal application workflow system.  In addition, AGAVE provides information management for family accompanying the employee, including visa status and residence, and in accordance with the stress-management stipulations in the Industrial Safety and Health Act, employees can apply through the system for mental care services that offer personal consultations.  Furthermore, partial system access can be granted to third-party companies that manage visa application and residential transfers, and the status of these procedures can be monitored and optimized.

In the interest of supporting Japanese companies’ efforts to expand their personnel overseas, Pasona’s AGAVE system and “Expat Management Support” services aim to allow for effortless global mobility management.
