History

February 1976: Temporary Center Inc. established in Kita-ku, Osaka-shi to undertake temporary staffing as its main business.
November 1976: Tokyo Office set up in Hatchobori, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
July 1977: Osaka Headquarters moved to Itoman Bldg., Honcho, Higashi-ku, Osaka-shi, to cope with the expansion in operations.
July 1978: Tokyo Office moved to the Nippon Press Center Bldg., Uchisaiwai-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, as business expanded; became the Tokyo Headquarters.
November 1983: Temporary Center Okayama Inc. (currently Pasona Okayama Inc.) established in Okayama-shi as an area franchise of the temporary staffing service.
April 1984: Osaka Headquarters moved to Nakanoshima Nichimen Bldg., Kita-ku, Osaka-shi, following an expansion in operations.
August 1984: Temporary Center Kyoto Inc. (currently Pasona Kyoto Inc.) established in Kyoto-shi as an area franchise of the temporary staffing service.
May 1985: Temporary Center Nakakyushu Inc. (currently Pasona Nakakyushu Inc.) established in Kumamoto-shi as an area franchise of the temporary staffing service.
October 1985: Temporary Center Niigata Inc. (currently Pasona Niigata Inc.) established in Niigata-shi as an area franchise of the temporary staffing service.
November 1985: Global Brain Inc. established to provide recruiting and placement services aimed at corporate executives.
May 1986: Temporary Center Nagasaki Inc. (currently Pasona Nagasaki Inc.) established in Nagasaki-shi as an area franchise of the temporary staffing service.
July 1986: Obtained license for General Worker Dispatching Undertakings following enactment of the Temporary Staffing Law.
August 1986: NS Personnel Service Co., Ltd. (currently Pasona Sourcing Inc.) established through capital participation in a temporary staffing subsidiary of the Nippon Steel Group.
September 1989: Temporary Sunrise Inc. established in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, to promote employment of personnel with disabilities.
July 1991: Childcare International Inc. (currently Pasona Foster Inc.), a management agency for corporate childcare centers, established.
June 1993: Corporate name Temporary Center Inc. changed to Pasona Inc.
December 1993: Human Resources Exchange System Inc. (currently Pasona career Inc.) established to offer outplacement service to promote flexibility in the labor market through temporary transfers to non-affiliated companies.
May 1994: Windows Rescue Dept. (currently Pasona Tech, Inc.) created within Pasona Inc. to offer temporary staffing of “Windows” PC specialists.
November 1994: Female University Student Support Project created to provide support to unemployed female university graduates amid severe employment conditions. Business Intern System (currently Pasona Youth) launched to offer training on required office skills such as PC operation and to provide internships at companies.
May 1995: Special Senior Worker Temporary Staffing Service (currently Senior/Business Talent Bank Team at Pasona Inc.) established to develop employment opportunities for senior personnel over 60.
March 1996: Business Coop. Inc. (currently Benefit One Inc.) established to offer outsourcing services for corporate employee benefit programs.
May 1996: Mac Rescue Dept. (currently Pasona Tech Inc.) created at Pasona Inc. to offer temporary staffing of “Macintosh” PC specialists.
November 1996: Pasona Foster Inc. established to undertake personnel training and staffing in the nursing area.
March 1998: Home Office Network created to offer job information to Home Office Workers.
October 1998: Pasona Talent Bank created to set up a talent registry for middle-aged and older professionals and to provide support for working as independent contractors.
June 2000: Pasona Sunrise Inc. obtained operational rights from former Pasona Inc.,(currently Nambu Enterprisel, Inc.) changed corporate name to Pasona Inc.;
December 2001: Pasona Inc. is listed on the Nasdaq Japan stock market. (currently Nippon New Market - "Hercules")
September 2002: Osaka Toshiba Management Center Co., Ltd, becomes a subsidiary following the assumption of new shares, and the business name changed to Pasona Empower Inc.
October 2002: e-staffing Co., Ltd. becomes an equity method affiliate following a joint investment with Tempstaff Co., Ltd. and Recruit Staffing Co., Ltd., that gave Pasona an interest in the e-staffing Co., Ltd. subsidiary.
December 2002: Kansai Koyo Soushutsu Kiko (Kansai Employment Creation Organization Inc.) established through joint funding with major regional firms. The company will act as a sort of personnel “bridge bank,” linking small and medium-sized enterprises who lack personnel, and skilled middle-aged and older candidates with experience at major firms.
March 2003: Pasona Inc. established Pasona Logicom Inc, a company providing outsourcing services for distribution contracting, including distribution functions.
March 2003: Pasona Inc. acquires the stock of Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd.'s temporary staffing subsidiary Con-Be, Inc. creating Pasona Inc.'s subsidiary currently known as Pasona Sparkle Inc.
Apri 2003: Pasona Heartful Inc. established, as a new venture aimed to further promoting employment opportunities for the physically and mentally handicapped.
June 2003: In a joint investment with Kawaijuku Educational Institution, Pasona Inc. established National Examination Center Inc. to offer outsourcing services concerning exams.
July 2003: Following Kansai, personnel "bridge bank", Kanto Employment Creation Organization Inc. established through joint funding with major regional firms.
October 2003: Pasona Inc. spins off its Placement & Recruiting Division and restarts operations as Pasona Carent Inc. (currently Pasona career Inc.) to expand business.
October 2003: Pasona Inc. is listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
March 2004: Pasona Tech, Inc. registers to Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA)
September 2004: Benefit One Inc. stock registered over-the-counter with the Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA)
September 2004: Pasona Global Inc. established to offer Recruiting/Placement services and recruiting consultation of global personnel.
October 2004: Pasona Engineering Inc. established to provide temporary staffing of electrical engineers.
February 2005: PASONA O2, an underground farm, opened on the B2 level of Pasona Inc.’s Tokyo Headquarter (Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo)
March 2005: Pasona REP Power Inc.(currently Pasona Dotank Inc.) established to offer support and consulting services on sales for Pasona and the Pasona Group.
June 2005: Pasona Fortune Inc. established to conduct platform business activities that bring together both companies and business specialists in various areas.
July 2005: HR Partners Inc., through a joint capital investment by in-house affiliates of leading large-scale corporations, established an independent website to facilitate recruiting and the sharing of information of indirect departments, such as the benefits and training of registered staff.
September 2005: Pasona Management Consultancy (Shenzhen) established in China to offer HR management and corporate management consulting services.
March 2006: Pasona Human Resources (Shanghai) Co., Ltd established to offer recruiting and permanent placement services toward Japanese companies in China.
March 2006: Benefit One Inc. listed on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
April 2006: In a joint investment with EDION Corporation., Pasona e-Professional Inc. established to offer mainly temporary staffing services toward EDION group’s home appliance stores.
January 2007: Pasona career assets Inc. and Pasona Carent Inc. joined becoming the first company in Japan with offices across 47 prefectures providing placement/recruiting and outplacement services as Pasona career Inc.
April 2007: CLUB PASONA OMOTESANDO, a facility to provide fringe benefit services to our registered staff, opened in Jingumae, Shibuya-ward, Tokyo.
September 2007: Opened Pasona Group Inc. headquarters at Shin-Marunouchi Bldg. in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
October 2007: Pasona Inc. acquired additional shares in Kansai Employment Creation Organization Inc. and Kanto Employment Creation Organization Inc., making them consolidated subsidiaries.
December 2007: Pasona Group Inc. established as a pure holding company through the transfer of shares.The Company is listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and on the Nippon New Market “Hercules,” Osaka Securities Exchange.
January 2008: Pasona ADP Payroll, Inc. is removed from Pasona Group’s scope of consolidation as an equity-method affiliate following the transfer of its shares.
March 2008: Pelham Search Pacific Limited and Pelham International Limited are removed from Pasona Group’s scope of consolidation as subsidiary companies following the transfer of their shares.
Pasona Group Inc. acquired additional shares in Financial Sun Inc., making it’s a wholly owned subsidiary.
April 2008: Pasona Group Inc. acquired additional shares in Pasona Insurance Inc., making it’s a wholly owned subsidiary.
October 2008: Pasona CIO Inc., established to a Group shared service company focusing on the IT field
December 2008: Pasona Inc. merged with Financial Sun Inc. and Pasona Sportsmate Inc.
PASONA EUROPE LIMITED is removed from Pasona Group’s scope of consolidation as a subsidiary company following the transfer of all of its shares.
The Company is delisted listed from the Nippon New Market “Hercules,” Osaka Securities Exchange.
April 2009: Pasona Inc. merged with Pasona Insurance Inc. and Pasona Temp to Perm, Inc.
Pasona Inc. took over the rights and obligations of Pasona Youth Inc., a company which focuses on temporary staffing activities for new graduates and graduates with limited experience in the workforce through a process of corporate merger and spin off.
Pasona REP Power Inc. merged with Pasona Youth Inc. Corporate name changed to Pasona Dotank Inc.
May 2009: Benefit One Inc. took over the rights and obligations of NARP Inc., a company which engages in the individual membership system employee welfare service business through a process of corporate merger and spin off.
July 2009: Pasona Inc.merged with MITSUI BUSSAN HUMAN RESOURCES CORPORATION.
November 2009: Pasona Tech, Inc. included in the scope of consolidation as a wholly owned subsidiary following the acquisition of shares by way of public tender.
December 2009: Pasona Group headquarters sestablished in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
February 2010: Shares of AIG Staff Co., Ltd., the human resource company of the AIG Group, acquired; company included in Pasona Group's scope of consolidation as a subsidiary company.
March 2010: Pasona Career Inc. merged with Pasona Inc. with Pasona Career as the surviving company; corporate name changed to Pasona Inc.
March 2010: Pasona Kyoto, Inc, and Pasona Nagasaki Inc. included in the scope of consolidation as wholly owned subsidiaries following the acquisition of additional shares.
April 2010: Pasona Sparkle Inc. merged with Pasona Sourcing Inc. with Pasona Sparkle as the surviving company; corporate name changed to Pasona Sourcing Inc.
